Created with a vision to bring a new level of environmental consciousness to the world-famous Strip, CityCenter is one of the world’s largest sustainable developments, from design and construction to operations and guest amenities. The project is an $8.4 Billion USD development, with 1.6 million m2 / 18 million sq.ft. of buildings. The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded LEED Gold certification to ARIA Resort & Casino’s hotel tower, convention center and theater, Vdara Hotel & Spa, Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, Veer Towers and Crystals retail and entertainment district. Using cutting-edge solutions, CityCenter has been able to grow responsibly without sacrificing the quality of materials or guest experience. CityCenter is a design collaboration between MGM MIRAGE and eight internationally acclaimed architectural firms including Pelli Clarke Pelli, Kohn Pedersen Fox, Helmut Jahn, RV Architecture LLC led by Rafael Viñoly, Foster + Partners*, Studio Daniel Libeskind*, David Rockwell and Rockwell Group, and Gensler. CTG Energetics was the executive LEED Consultant for the whole project, and Fore Solutions was the LEED Consultant for the Block C portion that included the Mandarin Oriental, Veer Towers, Crystals Retail and Harmon Hotel.
